Privacy Policy
Last updated October 23, 2026
Power Wash King is made by Zeno Development, LLC ("we"). This policy explains what the game collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: no ads, no tracking, no account you have to sign up for (Sign in with Apple is optional), and you can delete your data from inside the game at any time.
What we collect
- Your game save. Your progress (money, crew, jobs, upgrades, and the nickname and business name you type in) is backed up to our cloud database so it isn't lost. It's linked to an anonymous account the game creates for your device. We don't ask for your real name, phone number or password.
- Sign in with Apple (optional). If you choose "Continue with Apple" to keep your progress safe on a new phone, Apple tells us a user identifier for your Apple ID and an email address. You can choose "Hide My Email", in which case we get a private relay address from Apple that forwards to you. We don't ask Apple for your name. We store the identifier and the email with your account so you can sign in again and get your saved game back; we don't use the email for marketing. Your Apple ID password never reaches us. Our server also keeps a token from Apple for your sign-in, only so that we can revoke it with Apple when you delete your data.
- AI chat messages (only if you turn AI on). When AI replies are on, the messages you type (or say, turned into text on your device) in door conversations and crew texts are sent through our server to an AI service, which writes the replies. Your nickname and business name are not sent. We don't keep a copy of these messages, but the AI service and the model providers it uses may process and keep them under their own policies. Please don't share personal information in chats. You can turn AI off in Settings at any time; the characters then answer with ready-made lines.
- Reports. If you press and hold an AI message to report it, we store that message and a little context about the chat so we can review it.
- Usage limits. Our server counts how many AI messages each anonymous account sends per hour and per day, to prevent abuse.
Anonymous usage data (product analytics)
To learn which parts of the game work and which are confusing, the game sends usage events to PostHog, a product analytics service. This is on by default and you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage data. When it's off, nothing more is sent and any events still waiting on your phone are deleted.
- What's sent: which screens and pop-ups you open, and game events such as finishing a job (stars, time, pay), booking or losing a customer, hiring crew, buying upgrades, driving, and changing a setting. Each event includes your device model, iOS version, the app version, screen size, language, a session id, and your in-game day and title.
- How it's identified: by a random id the game creates on your phone and, once the game has signed in to our cloud save, by your anonymous account id. Nothing that tells us who you are.
- Never sent: your nickname or business name, your email, chat messages or anything else you type or say, your location, contacts or the advertising identifier (IDFA).
- It's used only to improve the game. It isn't used for advertising, isn't combined with data from other apps or websites, and isn't sold. The game doesn't track you across apps, so it never shows Apple's tracking prompt.
What we don't collect
- No advertising, ad tracking or advertising ID.
- No analytics beyond the anonymous usage data described above, which you can switch off.
- No location. The town in the game is built into the app.
- No voice recordings. Voice mode uses Apple's speech recognition on your device; audio never leaves your phone.
- No contacts, photos or other files from your device.
Notifications
If you allow them, the game schedules reminders on your device (for example, when a job is ready). These are local notifications; we don't send push notifications from a server.
Who processes your data
- Supabase hosts our database, sign-in (the anonymous account and the optional Sign in with Apple link), and our chat server.
- Apple handles Sign in with Apple, only if you use it.
- OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to generate AI replies, only when AI is on.
- PostHog (PostHog, Inc., servers in the United States) receives the anonymous usage data, only while "Share anonymous usage data" is on.
We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Your cloud save is kept until you delete it. Reports are kept as long as needed to review them and keep the game safe. Usage counts are kept only for short time windows. Anonymous usage data is kept in PostHog for as long as it helps us improve the game, within PostHog's retention period for our plan.
Deleting your data
In the game, open Settings → Delete my data. This deletes your cloud save and your account (including its Sign in with Apple link and email) from our servers, tells Apple to revoke the game's Sign in with Apple authorization, and resets the game on your device. You can also stop using Sign in with Apple for the game in your iPhone's Settings → [your name] → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple. Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. You can also email us and we'll delete it for you.
Delete my data also deletes usage events still waiting on your phone and gives the game a new random id, so later events can't be linked to the old ones. To have usage data already sent to PostHog deleted, email us.
Children
The game isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has shared personal information through a chat, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
